CRUCIAL THANKSGIVING DAY UPDATE
***NOVEMBER 8TH, 2017
We would like to start off by thanking each and everyone of our customers. Your business, kind words, referrals, wonderful pets, and kind hearts are the reason we are where we are today. We love each and every one of you, and we don’t have enough words to express our gratitude.
A ginormous thank you goes out to our earliest customers, who to this day are still with us since our early Westfield days almost 5 years ago.
We know our turn-around times were under two hours when we first took over Shampooch. Your word of mouth and love for our services have helped us grow, and slowly, we haven’t been able to accomplish such speedy turn around times. For that we apologize, but we would also like to clarify why our speed has diminished.
We refuse to overcrowd, cram, or squeeze an excess amount of dogs into our schedule/workspace. Squeezing and rushing only causes the pets that we look after and pamper to become stressed out, which ends up straying away from our original goal to provide a happy and fun all-day getaway.
We refuse to hire just anyone to groom your beloved pets, as we are very particular in how they are treated/groomed. We want our staff to be an extension of your family, so by pumping dogs out like a factory, we lose that pet connection that we’ve had since day one. We would like to someday bring on an additional team member, but trust and space is limited.
During the upcoming days leading to Thanksgiving we will have anywhere from 18-24 dogs trying to be pampered daily.
With that being said;
WE ARE COMPLETELY BOOKED UP UNTIL THANKSGIVING
WE HAVE MANDATORY RULES IN PLACE FROM NOW UNTIL 12/25
We ARE accepting names on a first come first served basis for our Cancel/NoShow list
Any No Call / No Shows WILL be charged a cancel fee of $20 upon next groom appointment
We will NOT be answering EVERY phone call that comes into the shop. Our voicemail will be updated with details. Please remember, your dog is NOT the only dog we are pampering. Every time we receive a call asking for an ETA, is 5 minutes that sets back every single dog at the salon. Your dogs are in wonderful, loving hands, and if you have NOT received a phone call, your dog is NOT done.
(No we don’t close and leave your dog overnight. We don’t close until the last dog leaves. We will call you. Scouts honor)
We will NOT be giving guaranteed pick up times whatsoever. NO EXCEPTIONS
Please do not pop in to check the status of your dog. This just stimulates your dog and the pack, induces anxiety, back up time, and increases the difficulty of grooming a tap-dancing dog.
PLEASE be patient with us, as we are trying to make every one of your babies look beautiful for the holidays.
Our growth in popularity is a blessing and we thank you, but we feel as if we need to be a bit less lenient, to ensure we effectively groom over 200 dogs these upcoming days.
A special thank you to everyone who has pre-booked since our announcement in person and online, early October.
To anyone who hasn’t booked, we are terribly sorry for any inconvenience, but we will keep a detailed list of those who want to be placed on the waiting list for any opportunities that arise for a grooming appointment.
