At Diamond in the Ruff, we believe that every pet deserves the best treatment available, each and every time they spend a day with us.

With that goal in mind, we are proud to announce that we are a cage free grooming environment. We believe that socialization plays a key role in the overall health and happiness of your pet. (We do understand that not every dog is dog-friendly, and we offer a caged stay for those special circumstances)

We don’t believe in charging our customers for each and every service we perform on their pets. Instead, we automatically perform all grooming services on each pet we bring into our salon, unless they are medically unable to. We price each dog independently based on several different variables.

We take into account the following when pricing your pet:

Size, temperament, coat type, coat condition, groom frequency, clip length , time required, team members needed (larger/uncooperative), age, medical needs.

Dogs that are severely matted will be shaved down with a shorter blade, leaving anywhere from 1/16” to 1/8” of hair on their bodies.

This is non-negotiable

The process of removing pelted matts is a grueling, painful, traumatic process for the dog undergoing the de-matting. De-matting can also leave severe irritation, rashes, and potential hot-spots from the prolonged agitation via brushes, combs, and other tools used to break up matted hair.

We want our guests to enjoy their spa day, not fear their groomer.

Under no circumstance

will we subject a dog to

pain

to satisfy the vanity requirements

of an owner.

Dogs that are severely matted will receive an added fee, ranging from $10-$30, as severe matts require a pre-shave, bath, and final shave, to ensure a smooth finish as well as to reduce the chance of skin irritation from the neglected coat.

Bath & brush out | De-Shed

Pets that request our bath service will receive the following amenities by default:

  • Warm water massage bath using biodegradable hypoallergenic shampoos and conditioners, as well as medicated shampoo treatment, and flea treatment upon request

  • Ear cleaning and hair pulling when needed

  • Nails trimmed (grinded upon request, no additional fee)

  • Anal glands expressed externally when needed

  • Brush & Comb until no tangles are present. Extensive dematting will not be performed as stated above.

  • Hand fluff dry

  • Short haired dogs receive a thorough de-shed treatment with every bath they receive

  • Double coated dogs receive a thorough undercoat elimination via a high velocity dryer prior, and after every bath

Trim | Shape-Up

Pets that request our Trim / Shape-up service will receive all the previous amenities listed in our bath package, as well as:

  • Paw pads shaved out

  • Feet rounded

  • Sanitary areas trimmed

  • Hair between Eyes trimmed

The Works

Pets that request The Works will receive all previous amenities listed in our Bath & Trim / Shape-Up package, as well as:

  • Full Groom custom tailored to your needs (as well as breed standard haircuts)
